  Turning Austin

  A Dark M/M Vampire Erotica

  by Ronin Black

One would think these damn bloodsuckers would leave me alone, Austin thought to himself as he ran from a squad of Potere enforcers. Il Potere was an organization of vampires who ruled the world. Their enforcers captured humans and sold them to the highest bidder.

  I’m not livestock!

Austin turned down an alley and slipped underneath a pallet that was tilted to the side next to the dumpster. Not like that would stop them but it might slow them down just enough for Austin to lose them.

He ducked into a secondary side street and took a running jump at the fire escape. He grabbed the ladder and climbed it as the ladder moved, angling downward towards the ground. Austin was used to this. He’d been running his whole life. His mother told him the tales of how vampires took over the entire world in one night. Even though they couldn’t walk in daylight, they had enough human thralls to keep their rule intact.

Austin didn’t really care who was in charge, as long as they left him alone. He just wanted to live his life in solitude.

The climb up to the platform was no problem for Austin. He raced up the stairs two and three at a time. His hand gripped the end of the rail on each platform, and he used his momentum to pivot around it so he would only step one foot on the platform. As he stepped onto the roof, he heard the vampires down below turning the corner. It would not be easy to lose them. Their supernatural senses made it easy to track whatever prey they were looking for.

They’d caught Austin several times over the years but he always managed to escape. Now there was a bounty on his head. Austin was beginning to think that today would not be his day. All he wanted was to be left alone. He’d been running for hours. He was tired. Vampires didn’t get tired. It was like they were trying to run him down.

On the other side of the rooftop, Austin took a running leap across the alleyway to the top of the next building. He landed on the next roof with a thud and a roll before he used his muscled legs to push off into another sprint. As he approached the next roof, he saw it was lower. The one after that was higher. He would have to make a plan on the move.

He jumped across to the other roof and landed with another roll. He looked behind him. There was only one vampire following. The others were probably waiting on the ground somewhere.

Austin veered off to his right towards the Maze of backstreets. It was the worst part of town. Low-ranking vampires lived in this area, though it was not densely populated. Vampires in this part of town would sooner drain you dry than take you in for the bounty reward. What was money to them anyway? Blood was what they craved.Austin would rather be caught by the enforcers.

His best bet was to just keep running and hope no one grabbed him. If he could make it through the Maze, he could escape into the woods. Vampires typically wouldn’t follow him in without a plan. The vicious wild beasts that lived there made most vampires look like kittens. Going in was suicide.

Austin could manage there for a few days. He had learned the ways of the forest but would end up having to go back into town for food or supplies every few days.

He jumped from this building to one of the smaller ones in the Maze. Then, Austin jumped to the ground. His feet hit the dirty pavement, and he took off into the Maze.

Aptly named, the Maze was originally built in such a way that outsiders would get lost trying to navigate it, thus giving the defending army a chance to take them out by attacking from above into the narrow passageways.

The Maze was derelict now. Buildings were crumbling, shanties and lean-tos filled its paths. It was a great place to go to be forgotten.

Glancing behind him, he saw another one of the vampire enforcers closing in. Austin pushed himself onwards. the muscles in his legs were burning. They wanted to quit but Austin wouldn’t let them. Not just yet.

He ran through the twists and turns of the maze, pushing one vampire out of the way when it thought it might catch a snack. Finally, he was near the exit to the woods. Austin looked back to see if the enforcers were still there. There were no vampires or police behind him that he could see. He had lost them in the Maze. Ahead of him was the dense, green forest he called home.

What he didn’t see was the one figure blocking him from freedom. he slammed into the dark figure, toppling them both to the ground. They rolled together down the slight hill, getting tangled as each body hit the ground a few times. Austin’s back slammed into a tree, abruptly stopping their cascading descent into the forest. Austin felt the hit a second time when the figure he collided with slammed into him too.

Austin groaned as he was hit again. If he was lucky, he’d have a bruised rib from that.

  “Damn it!” Austin shouted.

He pushed at the figure but it wouldn’t move. He looked up to see what was blocking his escape . A man? He was lithe with a chiseled chin and pale skin. Those blue eyes and the blonde hair were too perfect to be human. Damn bloodsucker, Austin thought, snarling.

  “Get off of me!”

The vampire moved this time as Austin pushed once more. Austin stood and tried to run but his rib stung sharply. His arms wrapped around himself and fell to his knees hard. The pain showed on his face.

  Damn it!

He’d never get away with this injury. Austin was sure at least one rib was broken.

He raised his head to look over towards the maze where he had come from. The enforcers hadn’t come out yet. It was only a matter of time before they did.

Austin looked behind him but found nothing. Looking ahead, he found the vampire he had slammed into standing in his way with a sympathetic look. Austin frowned and turned towards the woods.

“Wait. You’re hurt,” the vampire called out.

Austin tried to ignore him but found the tall blonde in his way once again.

  “Leave me alone,” Austin grumbled.

  “I can help.”

Austin’s shot daggers into those blue eyes. “You’ve done enough. Trust me.”

Austin stepped to his right to limp around him, but the vampire stepped in the same direction, stopping him again. Austin nearly roared at him.

“Listen. If you’re not going to turn me in, I need to get going. Enforcers are on their way.” Austin told him, annoyed.

Damn this pain! The more he breathed the more it hurt.

The vampire reached out and put a hand on Austin’s injured side, pulling him closer with his other arm. Austin yelped in pain. His eyes widened with fright as he stared up at the beautiful vampire. This was it. He was going to die here. Austin resigned, closing his eyes. Just make it quick, he thought and tilted his head to the side.

Austin’s body relaxed. There was no reason to fight anymore. It wasn’t like his life had meaning anyway. He was always running. At least, he didn’t have to run anymore.

The bite never came. Instead, he was left waiting. The pain in his side was replaced by warmth. He could feel the bones shift inside of him and mend themselves but it didn’t hurt. He gasped as he felt the broke
n rib gently pop itself back into place.

His eyes fluttered open. Austin looked up at the vampire who still held him. His face was kind, almost soothing. What was he doing?

Austin could breathe again without pain and his chest heaved up and down, causing him to press closer to the blonde. He stared at him.

“This way!” Someone shouted from the maze. They were back on Austin’s trail.

Austin started to struggle, pushing away. “Please… I can’t let them catch me.”

“Then we’ll go somewhere else to talk,” the blonde said. Austin didn’t understand what he meant until everything around them was a blur. His stomach turned and twisted. It was as if time was bending around them.

They stopped suddenly. Austin was slammed against the blonde’s chest, letting out a soft ‘oof.’ He pushed away from the vampire and was finally released. Not expecting such an easy release, he stumbled back, managing to catch his balance just in time.

He glared up at him. “What the hell was that!?”

“You needed to escape. We escaped,” the vampire said.

Austin blinked. Then he looked around. They were no longer at the edge of the forest next to the maze but rather deep inside the forest, surrounded by trees. To Austin’s right, there was a large, cozy home. It was lit and inviting. It had a cobblestone walkway that led to a dark wood door with intricate glass work. Beneath the windows, which had grey-blue shutters on each side, were well-kept rose bushes. The two closest to the door were red, but the next ones out were pink and beyond that was a bush of white roses on either side.

His jaw fell open. “How did we get here?” Austin asked.

“I can teleport,” the vampire replied with a light smile.

So that’s what that was, Austin thought as he stared at the house. “Why did you bring me here?”

“You needed to escape and I wanted to talk to you. I assumed my home would be the best place,” the vampire said. “My name is Salem Nocturne. I live here alone with a few pets—“

“Then you’re not alone,” Austin mumbled, not looking at the vampire.

“Excuse me?” The vampire turned his head curiously.

“If you have animals, you’re not alone,” Austin reiterated.

The vampire thought on this briefly. “I suppose you’re right, but they’re not nearly as good company as another person.”

Austin frowned. There was no way he was going to be locked up here forever. It was not okay for him, even if he was a vampire, to assume Austin would just stick around.

  “Hell no,” Austin said.

The vampire looked surprised. “No, what?”

“I’m not just going to stay here just because you think you rescued me,” Austin explained, offended.

Salem chuckled. “I didn’t assume that you would. Why are they after you? The enforcers.”

“Because I’m human. Isn’t that enough?”

Was this guy completely out of touch with what’s been going on? It wasn’t like he was freshly turned. He couldn’t be. Not with powers like that. Most new vampires had little to no special abilities besides their heightened senses.

“You didn’t do anything to provoke them?” Salem asked plainly.

“I didn’t know I needed to provoke them.” Austin shrugged. It was pointless talking to this one.

“It’s not enough for me. Did you upset them?” Salem asked.

“Well, yeah. They’re pissed because I keep getting away. I’m sure they’re tired of hunting me down. Is that enough for you?”

“Maybe for them. Why don’t you come in and stay a while?” Salem offered.

Austin straightened, his whole body tense. “I think I’ll pass. Listen if you wanted to drink me dry you completely missed your chance back there.” He pointed vaguely towards his left. He had no idea where the Maze was from here.

Salem looked hurt by those words. “Forget it. If you want to be on your own so bad, then just leave,” he said.

Austin blinked. He was trying to leave. Now this vampire was acting like a little child, pouting because Austin was pushing him away? Salem truly seemed to want Austin around for company. Austin wasn’t used to that. He had been on his own so long he forgot what companionship and friendship were like.

Hell, what did he have to lose? Maybe Salem would end his miserable existence but maybe he really just wanted someone to be close for a while.

Austin stepped closer. “You know what? I’ll stay. At least for the night.” Austin shrugged. “Why the hell not?”

The vampire perked up, just like a child. “Really? That’s great!”

“Yeah… Yeah sure,” Austin said, raising a brow. Salem was too freaking happy about this.

“Come on in then,” Salem said, leading him inside.

Austin followed and took in his surroundings. Even the inside looked like an English cottage.

This house didn’t belong here. It couldn’t have been built here with the rest of the town. It didn’t look incredibly new. Then again, Salem could be centuries old for all Austin knew. The house could be just as old.

“Nice place,” Austin said, not really sure what else to say about it. The place was nice, Austin just never had the chance to stay in a luxurious home that wasn’t a vampire’s mansion where he was being kept as a slave.

  “Thank you,” Salem said.

Austin walked into the middle of the living room as he looked around. Then he turned. “Alright. You can have my body if you like. All I ask in return is to be kept safe and not be turned in.”

Austin spoke frankly and watched Salem’s face twist in confusion.

“Your body? I never said I wanted that,” Salem replied.

“Please. There’s only two things that motivate you bloodsuckers to do anything for a human: blood and sex.” Austin said, crossing his arms.

Salem looked Austin over. He was quite a good looking human. “Not that you’re not attractive but I’m not going to force you to have sex with me.”

Austin raised a brow. “Seriously? A bloodsucker with morals?”

Salem growled as he corrected Austin, “Vampires.”

“Bloodsucker.” Austin stood his ground. That was the thing that pissed Salem off? A derogatory nickname for his kind? Austin wondered how far he could push it. In the back of his mind he also wondered why he would push it. Part of him couldn’t help it. He just wanted to push all their buttons. Making vampires uncomfortable or angry got Austin going.

Before Austin knew what happened, Salem crossed the room in a single step. He was a blur until he appeared right in Austin’s face. The tall blonde looked down at him, eyes glowing with malice, lips parted, revealing fangs.

Austin gasped and tensed, looking up into those eyes. His breathing got heavy as the fear and adrenaline coursed through him. His eyes looked down Salem’s body as Austin’s head didn’t move. The sheer power he could feel from Salem was intoxicating. He wanted it close to him. Austin took a step closer so that their bodies touched, looking back up into those glowing red eyes.

“What are you going to do about it?” Austin asked. His voice was sultry and shaky. His eyelids heavy with lust as his pants got tighter in the crotch.

Salem glared down at him, gripping the hair on the back of Austin’s head tightly. “I’m about to teach you some manners, boy,” His deep voice was also sultry and laced with anger.

He teleported again, everything bending around them. Austin’s stomach flipped once more but he held it down. His face must have paled though, as Salem smirked. “Like that do you?”

Austin looked back up at him, one edge of his lips raising back at him. “I could do it all day,” he lied. Austin knew he would throw up if Salem did that too many times in a row.

Suddenly, Austin’s head snapped to the side and he felt a sharp sting on his cheek. He gasped. Salem had just backhanded him. It surprised Austin.

“Get undressed and get on the bed,” Salem ordered.

Austin turned his head back to look a
t him. The power radiating off Salem made him want to submit. Austin was too stubborn to just let him have it though.

  “And if I don’t?”

“Then I’ll rip them off of you and take you however I wish,” Salem said.

Austin watched Salem’s eyes. He wasn’t lying. The conviction and coldness in Salem’s voice made Austin shiver and swallow hard.

He nodded and took a step back and started to undress. Austin watched Salem. The vampire’s eyes never left Austin’s body, taking him in as if ready to devour him.

The fear set it. Austin realized he had just given himself completely to a vampire. There was no one here to help him if he called out for help. Salem could tear him to little pieces if he wanted.

Austin slid off his shirt, shaking. His eyes lowered as he felt the Salem’s presence push at him and squeeze like a vice. Austin wondered if Salem was using some sort of power to manipulate him. He couldn’t stop it though. Suddenly, he wished that he hadn’t provoked the taller male.

Next came Austin’s pants. He unbuttoned them and slid them down along with his underwear. He stepped out of his shoes last. As he stood back up, Austin found he couldn’t raise his head to look at Salem’s smug face.

Salem gave a satisfied huff and stepped closer. “You’re not done. On the bed. Hands and knees.”

Austin found himself scrambling to obey. His eyes were wide as he moved too quickly for his own liking. He crawled up into the middle of the bed and positioned himself on his hands and knees like a dog.

“Bastard,” he said, growling at Salem without looking back at him. Austin hated being controlled and manipulated. It made him feel helpless. That’s all he had in this life.

“You like it,” Salem said, crossing his arms as he watched from the side of the bed. Salem’s eyes are pointedly fixed on Austin’s crotch, where his cock was pointing down at the bed, hard and leaking.

Austin’s cheeks and eyes grew red. He was shaking. Was this part of Salem’s powers as well?

“Stop it,” Austin requested, though it came out sounding more like pleading.
